Phase behavior and electrochemical properties of solid lithium electrolytes based on N-ethyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide and PVdF composites

Organic ionic plastic crystals (OIPCs) are a class of solid-state electrolyte material with good thermal and electrochemical stability higher safety due to their non-flammability non-volatility. N-ethyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide, [C2mpyr][FSI] is an organic crystal that has previously shown promising performance for Li metal batteries. Free standing composite electrolytes can be prepared by combining OIPC apparently inert polymer such as PVdF. In this work, the effect PVdF morphology, either in form electrospun fibres or nanoparticles, on LiFSI/[C2mpyr][FSI] phase behavior discussed. both cases, interacts mixtures at molecular level, altering properties 50 mol% LiFSI - and, lesser extent, 10 [C2mpyr][FSI]. Comparison | LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 cell using different morphologies shows dependence physical aspects composite.

Solid lithium electrolytes based on an organic molecular porous solid.

A new type of solid lithium-ion conducting electrolytes prepared by incorporation of Li(+) ions into a cucurbit[6]uril (CB[6])-based organic molecular porous solid shows high Li(+) ion conductivity (∼10(-4) S cm(-1)) and mobility (transference numbers, tLi(+) = 0.7-0.8). In addition, the solid electrolytes show excellent, thermally stable performance even after several temperature cycles.
